![]() The exterior changes and upgrades in elements and design were impressive had only those few things been improved this would have been yet another great story of product evolution for the TRUE brand. But they did one more MAJOR upgrade that I feel has catapulted them to the top in the golf shoe market.Ī complete redesign of the tread had me grinning ear to ear like a kid in a candy store. It was jawdropping comfort all over again, only this time it’s a far superior design. I had an immediate recollection of that day when I tried on the Proto’s for the first time. Several years later and I am now slipping my little piggyies into the Motions. The first time I put on the Proto’s my jaw hit the floor, they were so damn comfortable I wondered why every Tour player in the PGA wasn’t wearing them. ![]() I had no idea what to expect, the only thing I really knew about the company was that Ryan Moore was involved, and being a UNLV fanboy I was eager as hell to give them a try. The first ever TRUE I reviewed were the Proto’s back in 2013. The Lyt Breathe have been outstanding but from the second I put the Motions on my feet I knew the Lyt Breathe days were numbered. As always when it comes to trying out new golf shoes, I’m a little leery of them not comparing to my current gamers. I was awestruck at the fit and comfort of those shoes as they were unlike anything I had ever experienced from TRUE or anyone for that matter. Over the last year I’ve been playing the majority of my rounds in TRUE Linkswear Lyt Breathe. There is virtually no movement in this area of the shoe during the swing, which greatly adds to the stability factor. Fortunately, the TRUE Motion heel is very soft and features a memory foam padding that truly locks your heel into place. Honestly, I have a few pairs of shoes that remain in my closest simply because the heel pad is inadequate. Since your heel takes the brunt of the force when walking, it is really important to have a quality heel pad. With the new Motion, the laces and eyelets are top notch and stay tied nicely, AND they are the right length! With older models I had to change out the laces right away because they were frankly just too long. One specific improvement of note are the laces. The burnt orange piping on the back of the shoes is a nice contrast and adds to the laces and the piping alongside the TRUE logo in the side panel of the shoe. On the toe and heel you’ll find suede panels that match the lace eyelet panel and really brings the shoe together from a style standpoint. There are quite a few new features of this shoe starting with an improved outer design. Much like other releases in years past, the new Motion carries on the zero drop tradition which I’ve long believed is a game changer for golfers.įor this review we received a pair of the new TRUE Motions which came in the White/Burnt Orange/Grey color combination. Lost in the hype of the first ever soft spike from TRUE was the release of their Motion model. The announcement created a buzz in the golfing world, and many folks, including me, were eager to learn more about this new shoe from the company whose concept has been spike-less since the beginning. Most recently Adam reviewed the unexpected Game Changer Pro which is the first ever TRUE product to come with replaceable soft spikes. I will, however, be talking about one of the three new shoes that have hit the shelves this spring. ![]() We have plenty of articles on this very site that go into great detail about the makeup of the shoes and why we all think they are awesome. I’m almost certain anyone reading this is fully aware what TRUE Linkswear is all about so I won’t rehash the obvious – how TRUE is a zero drop shoe designed the give the user a unique experience on the course. Ok, maybe not everyone’s but certainly mine! I’ve been wearing True Linkswear on the golf course for almost three years now, and with each new pair I’ve added to my collection my love for the TRUE brand grows stronger. Every year it seems TRUE Linkswear evolves in a way that exceeds even the highest expectations.
